My name is Bernie Zoettl.


I'm a CELTA-qualified EFL teacher and translator based in Austria and Malta.  

I've been teaching English since 2003, and there's no job in the world I'd rather do!
Apart from face-to-face classes in a number of centres and language schools in Austria and Malta, I also design online English courses and teach online conversation classes.

I have extensive experience with exam preparation (Cambridge exams, IELTS, Austrian school leaving exam), and completed my Cambridge Delta Module Three with a specialism on Exam Preparation (Pass with Merit) in December 2019.

When designing courses, I always put the focus on "Real" English. I make use of authentic material, such as videos, radio recordings, pop songs, magazine articles, etc. to help my students acquire the skills they need to understand and use the language in real-life situations, and not just in a textbook context.
